This past week I went to Vegas for WPPI 2015 (Wedding and Portrait Photography International Conference) It is one of the biggest conferences in the world for wedding photographers and so I am sure you can imagine my excitement for upon having the opportunity to go this year!! And it did not disappoint! I will be writing a blog later about a few things I learned from some of the best teachers but for now I just wanted to share a little bit of some of the sightseeing I got to do! It was my first time out west so warning I took LOTS of photos and a lot of them include my amazing assistant Mariah who joined along for my trip to Vegas! So enjoy!! 🙂
We stayed in a castle!!
Our hotel was really close to the New York, New York Hotel that had the cutest Starbucks!
Another one of my favorite hotels there was the Venetian Hotel! I felt like I was in Venice for the day!
And the Eiffel Tower!
Vegas at night was absolutely beautiful with all the lights! Here are some photos of it! If you wish to see all the photos I took of Mariah you can check out my previous blog post! Here!Â
One day we rented a car which was my very first time and if you know anything about me that is something that completely terrifies me! I overcame a fear and it was totally worth it! We took about an hour drive to the Valley of Fire and it was BEAUTIFUL!! Now this is really where the photo overload comes! 🙂 Enjoy!
Yes, that is our shadows! 🙂
On the drive back we had a gorgeous sunset! Perfect end to a perfect day out west!
We were smart and split up our 24 hour car rental into two days so we could have two days of adventure! The next day we went to Red Rock Canyon which really was just a gorgeous drive through the mountains! It was cool to see snow-caped mountains amidst deserts and cactuses! And even the day before we came there was snow covering the catucses and derert floor! How crazy! We pulled over for a few photos on the side of the rode but the rest of the time we were just enjoying a beautiful drive! 🙂
