These two are the absolute sweetest! They started dating in 8th grade. Makayla moved in down the street from Luke right before 5th grade. At that point, Makayla thought he was just another annoying boy. At the beginning of 8th grade they started talking for hours on Makayla’s driveway after school. They were even out there in the rain because they refused to stop being together. Several months later, Luke finally got up the courage to ask Makayla to be together officially. As it came time to graduate high school, they chose different paths. Makayla became a Boilermaker and Luke decided to be an Irishman. Four years apart proved to them that they could get through anything. Luke proposed by hiring a caricature artist to set up a sign offering caricatures to the public at the canal in Indianapolis. He casually played it off until the artist turned the picture around and it was of him down on one knee. Isn’t that just the cutest?!

They are getting married this July and I can’t wait. They are immediately after moving to Seattle to work for some awesome companies! Luke is going to work for Google and Makayla is going to work for Microsoft.
